SCHEDULE
Basketball's first game will be on December 3rd at Bonner Gym.
Times and schedules to be announced.
Picture day for both Cheer and Basketball will be December 17th at
ORES prior to the players scheduled games.
We will not practice during Christmas and New Years break (Dec 19-Dec
30)
No games December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, or January 1st.)
CONCESSION STAND DUTIES
All home teams for each game are responsible for manning the concession
stand immediately following their game. This will spread the duties
throughout the league and allow us to run the concession stand at full
strength.
KING AND BONNER GYM DUTIES
All teams using these gyms are responsible for keeping them clean and
free from damage. No exceptions. We have promised to keep the gyms
cleaner than we found them. Don't let us down!
VOLUNTEER OFFICIALS NEEDED
If you are interested in helping the ORYA referee games, please contact
David Maxson via email at david@orya.org. We will be responsible for
officiating the age groups of 5-6 and 7-8. We will hold a small clinic
to go over our rules and expectations. Date TBD.
General Info
No assistant coaches determined or assigned until after the teams are
drafted. No exceptions
Game day responsibilities and requirements:
No balls can be
brought in the gym, game balls are provided during game days. Coaches
may only bring two balls if necessary but will need to be bagged before
and after their games.
Keep the gym in good order. Throw away all trash and
clean
spills if they occur. A ORYA representative will be at the gym during
game times if needed.
Assist in the set up and taking down of the gym.
Enjoy the games from the opposite side of the gym from
the
players bench. The players can experience seeing the fans, the fans can
see the score clock better, there is less distraction for the score
table workers and a confined area of cleanup after the day.
We expect to create a great experience for the kids
again this year. We
have a very spacious, quality facility to play out of thanks to the Oak
Ridge Military Academy. It will require our weekly effort to be good
tenants to this facility, so do what is necessary to help make this a
special year.
